Lori Blue Skies Album alternative music Remembrance palm springs, ca

Track 1:            ‘Remembrance’ Live From Palm Springs (4:59)

In the style of Elvis’ Trilogy, but uniquely arranged, you’ll never hear ‘Dixie and Battle Hymn’ the same again.

Di First performed ‘Remembrance’ live for a packed crowd of over 30,000 in Palm Springs, Ca., ultimately becoming the WTC Sept. 11th theme and gained Di White House attention with an invitation to perform.

Lori Blue Skies Album alternative music blue skies

Track 2:            ‘Blue Skies’ (3:46)

Romantics everywhere should love and relate to the relationship of Blue Skies that are in her lover’s eyes. Originally written by Di for Bob and his sexy electric guitar style. A uniquely composed song, Blue Skies gives you the feeling of ‘Yanni meets Torri Amos’.

Lori Blue Skies Album alternative music number 1 country girl from the city

Track 3:            ‘#1 Country Girl from the City’ (5:27

Raised in a large city with dreams to be in the country, this song powers out the reality of that feeling. Written in  route from Tennessee to California on an acoustical guitar, Di’s lyrics ‘Dollywood from Hollywood’ drive home the story of a young girls dream to be a performer in Di’s power driven ‘Atomic Pop’ style.

Lori Blue Skies Album alternative music stay true

Track 4:            ‘I Know You’re Out There’ (6:18)

Deep emotions of belief for a stage with an audience that she believes is out there. ‘I Know You’re Out There tells the story of a girl who’s sole dream is to ‘find’ her audience and fans. She knows if listened to long enough you will be one of those she believes is ‘Out There’.

Lori Blue Skies Album alternative music runway lights

Track 5:            ‘Runway Lights’ (3:19)

Using a creative style of multiple chord changes that seemingly go on unconsciously, Di sings choruses of Spanish and French vocals giving ‘Runway’ an International flair to it and making ‘Runway’ a different type of song with a unique sound and style. ‘I’m coming in to land and I’m here to stay’ tells of her secret love story.

Lori Blue Skies Album alternative music daisy may

Track 6:            ‘Daisy May’ (6:19)

Unable to find ‘that’ respectful man, she wants to drive home ‘may’ as an English word of importance, and then take the pressure off by naming a ‘fictional’ character ‘Daisy May’. Written and performed entirely by ‘Di’ on her special 12 string acoustical guitar, appropriately named ‘Daisy’, this song bridges the gap between country and a modern pop ballad.

Lori Blue Skies Album alternative music children of ireland

Track 7:            ‘Children of Ireland’ (3:30)

Hopes and Dreams really do come true, for all, especially Jessica and the Children of Ireland. While touring Ireland Bob and Di drove into the past to a quaint little town outside of ‘Cong’ where the classic John Wayne movie ‘The Quiet Man’ was filmed. It was there she met a young teen far removed from the often jaded lifestyles of the ‘big city. It was for ‘Jessica’ and her innocent friends that this song was written.

Lori Blue Skies Album alternative music lady luck for tv theme sound track

Track 8:            ‘Lady Luck’ (2:30)

After hearing Di sing, Burrud Productions requested Producer Bob Schott and Lori to write a song to be used for an upcoming theme on gambling, in a ‘James Bond’ flavor. Lady Luck tells the somewhat macabre story of the romance and obsession of a gambler ‘caught up’ in the play and for his true ‘Love’…’Lady Luck’. Di’s, 'Lori's', signature vocals take command of this unique song.

Lori Blue Skies Album alternative music Stay True

Track 9:            ‘Stay True’ (3:07)

Di’s belief that ‘staying true’ to who you are is the best way to win in life. After a lifetime battle against tremendous odds to live out her childhood dream of being a singer-songwriter-performer.  Di’s childhood dream finally won out, and she wants others to know; if you believe in yourself you can realize your dreams.

Lori Blue Skies Album alternative music got to have you

Track 10:          ‘Got to Have You’ (2:58)

This was one of Di’s first pieces that defines Di’s Atomic Pop and shows off her power and range, led off by her melodic soft opening. Many who have heard Di really cut loose, have said…’There’s a New Sheriff in Town’.
